In 2013, the world of Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog comics was changed forever when behind the scenes issues forced the series to completely reboot and abandon all of the unique characters and stories that had entertained and engrossed readers for the past 20 years. In its place, a new continuity was established which re-imagined Sonic and the Freedom Fighters and their many friends and foes – both new and old alike! However, in 2017, Archie Comics lost the rights to the Sonic the Hedgehog property and all of those new adventures came to an end as well. Like Archie Sonic Online’s goal to continue the adventures of the pre-reboot comics, Archie Sonic Restoration aims to revive the world of the post-reboot series! Check out this series by several current and former ASO staff among others that are finishing the issues Archie started and then going off toward new adventures!

Reviewing Sonic content since 2010, Hedgehogs Can’t Swim is a blog covering Sonic cartoons, comics, and other pieces of the Sonic franchise with in the form of reviews and analysis. New reviews are posted Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays!

Sonic Galactic is a 2D Fan-game inspired by the Classics. Taking a more “Saturn” approach with its art direction, Galactic aims to be a sort of continuation to where the classics left off. Aiming to follow the classics, Galactic features new zones, brand new sprites, and a new character! This energetic mole is more than willing to join the team in their battle against Dr. Eggman!

This has been a fangame under the works for about 3 years, and is currently using Hatch Game Engine, an engine built from the ground up with accuracy perfectly replicating the classics.

Made from the popular fan animation team Sonic Paradox, Sonic Legacy is an effort to involve non-animation artists within the Sonic Paradox community. This comic resets continuity back to the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis with an all new story! Sonic is on South Island enjoying some chili dogs when by chance of fate he encounters a kindred spirit, Tempest the Dolphin! A race quickly ensues leading them to trouble with the Eggman Empire! It’s an exciting adventure both new and familiar, with faces new and old alike!

Sonic the Comic Online has been running since May 2003 – that’s nearly sixteen years of Sonic comics! Continuing off from the long running British series, Sonic the Comic Online follows the adventures of Sonic and his friends against the diabolical Dr. Robotnik and other nefarious villains! Featuring classic Fleetway original characters such as Shortfuse the Cybernik, Tekno the Canary, Porker Lewis and many more, STCO has become a thrilling story all its own. Check it out Boomers!
