Biography

Miles Prower was born to Rosemary and Amadeus Prower in Mobotropolis just prior to Dr. Ivo Robotnik’s coup d’état. Losing his parents to both Roboticization and alien abduction, Miles would be raised by the nanny Rosie Woodchuck in Knothole Village with other orphans, including his idol Sonic the Hedgehog, who came up with the nickname “Tails” owing to the young fox’s unique mutation.

Due to his age Tails was often prevented from going on missions with the Knothole Freedom Fighters. For a brief time he was bestowed great intelligence after eating a fruit from the Tree of Wisdom, and while the effect mostly faded he did retain some of the heightened intellect. He was soon given more responsibilities, but it wasn’t until his solo adventure in Downunda that he became recognized as a Freedom Fighter in his own right. It was during this time he learned of the prophesied Great Harmony and his destiny as the “Chosen One.”

Under Rotor’s tutelage Tails gained more mechanical aptitude, building his own plane, the Tornado. He regularly accompanied Sonic throughout his exploits, such as pursuing the evil wizard Ixis Naugus across the globe and battling Master Mogul. When A.D.A.M. attempted to gather the Chaos Emeralds from across the galaxy, Tails was responsible for foiling   the plan and sending the Emeralds to the Special Zone, achieving his destiny as the Chosen One.

With the help of his ever-watchful uncle, Merlin Prower, Tails was able to rescue his parents from Argentium. However, he found himself pitted against Sonic when they incited a revolution against the Acorn monarchy. The two were able to reconcile their differences and their friendship grew stronger as a result.

Tails continues to work alongside Sonic and his friends as a key player in the fight against such enemies as Dr. Eggman and the Battle Bird Armada. Currently he is a part of Team Fighters, piloting the Tornado with his trusty robot dog T-Pup as they pursue the doctor across the globe.

Personality

Tails is always friendly and easygoing. As one of the younger Freedom Fighters Tails always idolized his hero, Sonic, but in time gained more confidence and grew to embrace his own role in the group. While he can be a bit naïve at times and tends to get flustered when people doubt him account of his age or apparent lack of experience, Tails’ friends know they can always count on him to help save the day.

Abilities

Flight: Tails can spin his namesakes like helicopter blades to generate lift.
Genius: Tails is incredibly bright and often finds himself having to point Sonic in the right direction.
Mechanical Skill: Tails can build and repair almost anything, from his robot dog T-Pup to the Tornado.
Piloting Skill: Tails is equally proficient flying with his tails and piloting the Tornado and Sea Fox.
Turbo Tails: With the power of seven Chaos Emeralds, Tails can achieve a Super State much like Sonic’s.
