Miles Prower was born to Rosemary<\/strong> and Amadeus Prower<\/strong> in Mobotropolis<\/strong> just prior to Dr. Ivo “Julian” Robotnik\u2019s<\/strong> coup d’\u00e9tat. Losing his parents to both Roboticization<\/strong> and alien abduction, Miles would be raised by the nanny Rosie the Woodchuck<\/strong> in Knothole Village<\/strong> with other orphans, including his idol Sonic the Hedgehog<\/strong>, who came up with the nickname \u201cTails\u201d owing to the young fox\u2019s unique mutation. <\/span>Due to his age Tails was often prevented from going on missions with the Knothole Freedom Fighters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n He was briefly given great intelligence by eating a fruit from the Tree of Wisdom<\/strong>, and while the effect mostly faded he retained some of the intellect. It was with his solo adventure in Downunda<\/strong> that he was recognized as a true Freedom Fighter. During this adventure he learned of his destiny as the \u201cChosen One<\/strong>.\u201d He trained with his senior Freedom Fighters, gaining mechanical aptitude under Rotor the Walrus <\/strong>and accompanying Sonic on many adventures.\u00a0Tails grew into a true hero and was even able to rescue his parents. Tails continues to work alongside his friends as a key player in the fight against evil.<\/p>\n Tails can spin his namesakes like helicopter blades to generate lift and fly through the sky. He can also use his tails as a weapon with a quick Tails Swipe<\/strong>. Tails is capable of great speeds, able to keep up with Sonic for years. Tails is also a genius, often finding himself having to point Sonic in the right direction. With his mechanical skill Tails can build and repair almost anything, from his robot dog T-Pup<\/strong> to the his own plane the Tornado<\/strong>. Tails is equally proficient flying with his machines as his tails, piloting the Tornado series of planes, its variant the Cyclone<\/strong>, and the sea craft like the Sea Fox<\/strong>. Tails is always friendly and easygoing. As one of the younger Freedom Fighters Tails always idolized his hero, Sonic, but in time gained more confidence and grew to embrace his own role in the group.
