Rotor was born to Sherman<\/strong> and Georgette Walrus <\/strong>in Iceborough<\/strong>. The family moved to Mobotropolis<\/strong> when Rotor was young, and Sherman wound up fighting as a soldier in the Great War<\/strong>. When Dr. Ivo Robotnik<\/strong> betrayed the Kingdom of Acorn<\/strong> Sherman was tragically killed in the line of duty. Rotor was evacuated to Knothole Village<\/strong> with other children, but was separated from his mother who escaped back to the Northern Tundra<\/strong> with Rotor\u2019s unborn brother, Skeeter<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rotor befriended Sonic the Hedgehog<\/strong> and the other orphans who would later form the Freedom Fighters<\/strong> and became one of the team\u2019s founding members. He was inspired by his father\u2019s war stories to build machines and weapons to help the Freedom Fighters\u2019 cause, and earned the nickname \u201cBoomer\u201d from his many explosive failures. His successes, meanwhile, aided the Freedom Fighters immensely. His long list of inventions included the Sea Fox<\/strong>, Neuro-Overriders, and the Zone<\/strong> Portal the Freedom Fighters used to rescue Princess Sally<\/strong>\u2019s father King Maximillian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

His tactical mind and intellect earned Rotor a place on the Restoration Committee<\/strong> following Robotnik\u2019s demise. Eventually Rotor made the decision to revisit his herd on Walrus Island<\/strong>. Earlier he had found his family and the rest of the walruses enslaved by Dr. Robotnik and was unable to free them, but the firing of the Ultimate Annihilator<\/strong> had ended the mind control. Unfortunately the arrival of Dr. Eggman<\/strong> saw their return to his servitude and Rotor was forced to leave, but would later utilize the Sword of Acorns<\/strong> to free them once more.<\/p>\n

While Sonic was lost to space Rotor filled the void he left by building larger and more dangerous weapons to combat Dr. Eggman. After nearly killing Larry Lynx<\/strong> Rotor swore off creating weapons, though despite this he would help Sir Charles<\/strong> construct the Metal Sonic Troopers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When Dr. Eggman razed Knothole Rotor saved Tails<\/strong> by pushing him out from under a collapsing ceiling, severely injuring his back. Once in New Mobotropolis<\/strong> Rotor ran for public office and joined the Council of Acorn<\/strong> while still continuing to provide technical assistance to the Freedom Fighters. He even went so far as to rejoin the fray in his nanite<\/strong> battle suit to save his family from Akhlut<\/strong>\u2019s Dark Egg Legion<\/strong> chapter. As Councilor he was an outspoken supporter of his friends but was frequently overruled. The tipping point came when King Naugus<\/strong> convinced the Council into exiling Nicole<\/strong>; Rotor resigned in protest and recruited Team Freedom<\/strong> to protect the city from threats like the Metal Series<\/strong> and Tails Doll<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Personality<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Rotor is friendly, outgoing and compassionate but these traits conflicted with his original love of heavy weaponry. Reliable and dependable, his friends knew him as the go-to-guy for all their science and technology-related needs. The thing that drives Rotor most of all is his loyalty to his friends; he is willing to go to great lengths to help them when they need it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abilities<\/strong><\/span>

\nGenius:<\/strong> Rotor is a brilliant inventor and technician. Much of Tails\u2019 expertise came from Rotor\u2019s own knowledge.
\nStrength:<\/strong> Befitting his size Rotor is rather powerful.
\nSwimming:<\/strong> As a walrus, Rotor is an adept swimmer.<\/span><\/p>\n
