The Death Egg<\/strong> is Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik<\/strong>‘s largest and most deadly mobile fortress to date. Formally known as the Death Egg Mk II<\/strong> after the original created by Dr. Ivo “Julian” Robotnik<\/strong> during the First Robotnik War<\/strong>, the base serves as the informal capital of the Eggman Empire<\/strong> following the destruction of New Megaopolis<\/strong> at the hands of Knuckles the Echidna<\/strong> during his time as Enerjak<\/strong>. The Death Egg was constructed below the city and its true purpose kept from all those within the Empire. Eggman referred to this form as the Eggdome<\/strong> and it wasn’t until after the rise and fall of the Iron Dominion<\/strong> that the Death Egg would become fully operational and begin terrorizing Mobius<\/strong>. The Death Egg’s initial goal upon launching was Operation Cleansweep<\/strong>, which aimed to undue the immunity to roboticization<\/strong> instituted by the Bem<\/strong> and roboticize the population of Mobius in one fell swoop. While it failed in this mission, it remains a powerful asset in Eggman’s arsenal.<\/p>\n

The Death Egg itself is armed with incredible offensive and defensive measures. The base has various guns and cannons which can be deployed from numerous hidden compartments across its shell. These weapons are the product of years of refinement from Eggman’s previous vessels such as the Egg Carrier<\/strong> and the Egg Fleet<\/strong>. Many types of Badniks<\/strong> are also housed within the Death Egg which can be powered remotely without an animal power source so long as the Death Egg remains close enough. Like its predecessor, a Power Ring Matrix<\/strong> lines the Death Egg offering an emergency battery supply and warding off magical attacks. The Death Egg can also produce an energy shell that covers the entire structure, though at the cost of not allowing anything in or out as well.<\/p>\n

As a functional fortress, the Death Egg features many points of interest across the base.<\/p>\n
