When exposed to the seven Chaos Emeralds<\/strong>, Sonic transforms into Super Sonic<\/strong>. Super Sonic is invulnerable to most average attacks, with only those of similarly transformed adversaries able to push back against him. In addition to his invulnerability, Super Sonic also grants Sonic the ability to fly at blistering speeds. This allows Super Sonic to use his ultimate defense as an incredible offensive ability, as he can slam into any obstacle with a Super Sonic Boost\u00a0<\/strong>resembling an arrow of light or a bolt of lightning.<\/p>\n

While Sonic usually uses the seven Chaos Emeralds to undergo this Super Transformation<\/strong>, other power sources have also been used on different occasions. During his fight with the Universalamander<\/strong>, Sonic achieved Super Sonic through the use of fifty Power Rings<\/strong>. On a run across the planet, Sonic transformed into Super Sonic with the use of a single Super Emerald<\/strong>. Finally, Sonic fought Enerjak<\/strong> after powering up with the use of the Master Emerald<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Even with all of this power at his disposal, Sonic retains his usual personality when transformed into Super Sonic, able to to crack jokes with his friends and playfully mock his enemies. At the end of the day, Super Sonic gives Sonic the ability to handle intense situations, while still remaining true blue.<\/p>\n
